Coco Gauff recently received a congratulatory message from American singer-songwriter and actress Coco Jones after securing her place in the 2024 WTA Finals. The top eight singles players and doubles teams will compete at the season-ending tournament scheduled to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from November 2nd to November 9th, 2024.

This season, Gauff has claimed two titles—first at the beginning of the year when she defended her title at the 2024 ASB Classic by defeating Elina Svitolina in the final. Most recently, she emerged victorious at the WTA 1000 hard court event in Beijing, the China Open, by defeating Karolina Muchova in the title clash.

In the Grand Sam tournaments, the World No.3 had semifinal finishes at the Australian Open and the French Open and had reached the fourth round at the Wimbledon Championships and the US Open.

Coco Gauff, along with defending champion Iga Swiatek, Aryna Sabalenka, Jasmine Paolini, Jessica Pegula, and Elena Rybakina, have all secured their spots at the 2024 WTA Finals.

The official social media pages of the WTA recently shared a video of Gauff reacting to a message from Coco Jones congratulating her on securing her place at the WTA Finals. Jones expressed that she loves watching Gauff play and is excited to watch her compete at the season-ending tournament for the third consecutive year.

“Hey Coco! It's Coco. Been waiting to say that! Girl, I just wanted to send my congratulations for competing for the WTA finals again, like for the third time in a row. You’re really eating ’em up and I know you’re gonna to pop your sh*t big time in Finals. I can’t wait to watch. I love watching you,” Coco Jones said .

Coco Jones also mentioned her appreciation for Coco Gauff's passion on the court

“I see the passion girl, it ignites a fire in me, you know? Next thing I know, I’m doing sprints on the treadmill one or two and then on an incline walk. But you keep doing it for both of us and what the hell, when are we meeting up? Let’s go eat or something. I love you girl, rooting for you . Hopefully I get to meet you soon . Love you Coco, bye!” she added.

After seeing the video message from Jones, Coco Gauff expressed that getting the congratulatory message from Jones was "really exciting" and that she was not expecting such a gesture.

“I love Coco Jones since like, Disney Channel ‘Roxie I’m sorry,’ if you know you know. I love her and this is so cool . So thank you guys. This is actually really exciting, I was not expecting this! Thank you,” Coco Gauff said .
