Fans react to Elena Rybakina's 2024 Roland Garros kit

Elena Rybakina's kit for the 2024 Roland Garros was recently released by Yonex. Fans were neither pleased with the kit nor with the Kazakh's photoshoot.

Rybakina joined Yonex in 2023 for a full apparel and shoes deal, extending her racket partnership. She donned them for the first time at the Roland Garros. On the occasion of the deal, The World No. 4 said that she had great memories with Yonex and was happy to continue working with them.

“We’ve been together from the beginning, I have very good memories, and really happy to continue working with Yonex,” Rybakina said.

Yonex recently dropped the 24-year-old's kit for the 2024 Roland Garros. The Kazakh will be donning an orange T-shirt with a green skirt. She will complete her look with a white cap and shoes.

However, fans haven't been impressed with Elena Rybakina's kit and took to X (formerly Twitter) where they berated Yonex with one of the fans hoping she was being paid well to wear this kit.

"I hope they’re paying her WELL to wear this monstrosity"

Another fan felt that the Kazakh's face in the photo gave away her disappointment at the kit.

"Omg her face expression says all."

Here are some other reactions from fans who lambasted the photos with some feeling that Rybakina's face had been photoshopped.

"O.M.G wtaf is this the editing, the outfit, the facial oh dear she deserves so much better" a fan was shocked.
"why it feels like they just photoshopped the kit on" a fan pondered.
"Which is worse with yonex, their outfits or their photography?" a fan was angry.

Some other fans were angry with Elena Rybakina's presentation in the photo.

"Looks terrible and Elena does not look happy. Hopefully that was not intentional." said a fan.
"They can't make Rybakina look not attractive, but they try hard. On the other hand, what about this color on clay? I don't think it fits well." another fan said.
"She looks like construction store worker lol" a fan joked.

Elena Rybakina has had a rollercoaster of a European clay court swing this year.

The Kazakh kicked off her clay swing at the Stuttgart Open with wins over Veronika Kudermatova and Jasmine Paolini in topsy-turvy three-setters. She then faced two-time defending champion and top seed Iga Swiatek in the semifinals and defeated the Pole in a similar fashion as the first two rounds.

She then decimated Marta Kostyuk in the final to clinch her third title of the year.

Rybakina then competed at the Madrid Open, where she was the fourth seed. She had an impressive start to her campaign with three consecutive straight-set wins. In the quarterfinals, she had to dig deep against Yulia Putintseva to come back from a set down.

The 24-year-old met Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals where the Belarusian managed to defeat the Kazakh after a three-set battle.

Elena Rybakina withdrew from the Italian Open, where she was the defending champion due to illness. The next stop for the Kazakh will be the Roland Garros, where she will be the fourth seed.
