Casper Ruud has received a lot of admiration from tennis fans after he jokingly mocked his sisters during a recent interview.

Ruud booked his place in the third round of the Indian Wells Masters after defeating Diego Schwartzman 6-2, 6-3 on Friday.

Speaking to Tennis Channel after the match, the Norwegian playfully called his sisters Charlotte and Caroline "clout chasers" for a TikTok video they posted last month imitating the tennis player.

"I toy with them a little bit and say that you know, I call them clout chasers because they are using my status, my clothes to get some views so I have to give them little bit s**t back. That's got to that point in the family now where we can have fun with each other," he said.

Tennis fans were delighted with Casper Ruud's comments, with one tweeting:

"Finally some Casper drama that he actually started."

Another fan chimed in, writing:

"He's so oldest sibling too cool to admit that he'd never come up with the content himself but gotta give them some s**t for it."

One fan opined that Ruud was "so real."

"Calling his sisters clout chasers & cursing on tv he’s so real," their tweet read.

After a dominant performance against Diego Schwartzman, Casper Ruud will take on Cristian Garin in the third round of the Indian Wells Masters. The Chilean sealed his place in the Round of 32 with a 6-4, 6-0 win over 29th seed Yoshihito Nishioka.

Ruud and Garin will lock horns for the fourth time, with the latter leading 2-1 in the head-to-head. The Norwegian, however, won their last meeting at the 2022 ATP Cup 6-4, 6-1.

Ruud will be eager to make a deep run at Indian Wells following what has been a disappointing start to the season. The winner will face either 13th seed Karen Khachanov or 23rd seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the fourth round.
