Andy Murray shared a rare picture with his son Teddy, as the former tennis star embraces life after retirement. The Brit called it quits on his illustrious career earlier this year.

Murray took to Instagram to share a photo with his son Teddy, who was born in 2019. The father-son duo adorably matched in blue hoodies, with the 37-year-old sporting a huge smile while covering his son's face with a star emoji. He captioned the image:

"Matching blue💙with my wee star⭐️❤️😊"

Murray had previously announced his retirement from professional tennis in the summer of 2024, later confirming that the Paris Olympics would be his final tournament. The two-time singles gold medalist chose not to compete in the singles event, instead playing men's doubles alongside Dan Evans.

The British duo reached the quarterfinals, where they were defeated by the American pair of Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul. During the Olympics, Murray had stated that one of his future goals was to be more present for his children.

During a TikTok challenge initiated by the Great Britain Olympics team, a fan asked Andy Murray about his sporting goals and life goals after retirement from professional tennis.

"So my sporting and life goals after the Olympics are, I would like to try and become a scratch golfer and that's my sporting goal," Andy Murray said.
"And then yeah, life goals, try and be, yeah try to be a good dad. Be home as much as I can for my kids while they're still growing up, be around for my wife, and yeah that's what I am most looking forward to," he added.

Murray has been married to Kim Sears since 2015. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Sophia, in 2016, followed by their second daughter, Edie, in 2017. Their only son, Teddy, was born in 2019, followed by a third daughter in 2021.

While Murray is likely enjoying a more flexible schedule compared to his playing days, family has always been his top priority. In a 2016 interview with the Daily Mail, he said:

"My priority is to be a good father first... It is always something I wanted... I always wanted to start a family. I always wanted to have a successful marriage and meet the right person. Since a young age, actually."

As for his sporting goals, Murray played during the BMW PGA Championships in September with Rory Mcllroy. He was seen practicing again days later.

The former World No. 1 played 18 singles matches in 2024, winning just six of them. His best performance came at the Miami Open, where he reached the third round before losing to Tomas Machac.
