The Shanghai Masters 2024, one of the prestigious ATP 1000 events, will take place from October 2 to October 13 at the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in Shanghai, China. As the largest tennis venue in Asia, this tournament promises thrilling action for tennis fans worldwide.

India will have a few key players competing in the competition this year. Sumit Nagal, the country’s top-ranked singles player, is set to feature in the main draw, marking his third ATP Masters 1000 appearance in 2024.

Nagal made headlines earlier this year with historic runs at Indian Wells and Monte-Carlo, and he now faces China’s Wu Yibing in his opening round. Meanwhile, Ramkumar Ramanathan has also secured a place in the main draw after winning both the qualifiers.

Somdev Devvarman was the last representative for India in the Shanghai Masters main draw, having competed in the tournament in 2011.

Veteran doubles star Rohan Bopanna will partner with Croatia’s Ivan Dodig in the ongoing edition of the tournament. Last year, Bopanna finished as the runner-up with Matthew Ebden as his partner.
