Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic are set to clash for the second time in as many weeks in the semifinals of the Six Kings Slam exhibition event in Riyadh. Sinner triumphed in their previous meeting, defeating Djokovic in the final of the Shanghai Masters last week.

Sinner has had a breakthrough season, posting an impressive 65-6 match record and claiming seven titles. His year began with his first Grand Slam victory at the Australian Open in January, which set the tone for his success. He has since added the crowns in Rotterdam, Miami, Halle, Cincinnati, the US Open, and most recently in Shanghai.

Sinner’s remarkable form has earned him the year-end World No. 1, making him the first Italian to achieve this milestone. He is currently enjoying his 19th consecutive week at the top. Sinner opened his campaign in Riyadh with a 6-0, 6-3 thrashing of Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals on Wednesday night.

Djokovic, on the contrary, hasn't had the ideal season, dealing with injuries and the toll of age. His highlight was arguably winning the elusive Olympic gold medal in Paris by defeating Carlos Alcaraz in the final. He also reached the Wimbledon final, where he lost to the Spaniard.

Djokovic most recently took part at the Shanghai Masters where he cruised through his half of the draw, defeating Flavio Cobolli and Taylor Fritz before falling to Sinner in straight sets in the final.

The two have met eight times on tour, with their head-to-head tied at 4-4. Sinner leads 4-1 on hard courts and has won their last three encounters. Though an exhibition, both players will be keen to secure the win—Sinner to extend his scorching form, and Djokovic to avenge last week's defeat. With plenty at stake, this semifinal promises to be an exciting showdown between the game's finest.
