The World No. 6 is on a roll - beating Brandon Nakashima in the opening round to extend his winning streak to 15 matches. During this span, the 27-year-old has won titles at Rotterdam, Doha, and Dubai.
Medvedev opened his campaign for the year with a run to the Adelaide 1 semifinals - where he lost to eventual champion Novak Djokovic. The two-time finalist then lost in the third round at the Australian Open before hitting a purple patch.
Dropping just two sets all week, the former World No. 1 won his first title of the year in Montpellier. A week later, he stood on the winner's podium again, this time dropping just one set en route to the Doha title. Fast forward six weeks, Medvedev won the Dubai title, ending Djokovic's 16-0 start to the year in the semifinals of the tournament.

On paper, the showdown looks like a mismatch. Medvedev is the near-perfect prototype of a modern-day player with no conceivable weakness. He has a strong serve, hits powerfully off either flank, and moves very well for his height.
