The 13th day of the Paris 2024 Olympics will start shortly. India's golden boy Neeraj Chopra will be in action in the men's javelin throw final, starting at 11.55 pm IST at the Stade de France on Thursday, August 8.
The golf competition will continue with the second round of the women's individual event. Elsewhere, Jyothi Yarraji will compete in the women's 100m hurdles repechage event.
After a setback in wrestling on Wednesday, with both Vinesh Phogat and Antim Panghal returning without medals, Anshu Malik will start her campaign today in the women's 57 kg category. Anshu will lock horns with the United States' Helen Maroulis in the Round of 16. Another wrestler Aman Sehrawat will begin his Paris 2024 Olympics campaign in the men's freestyle 57 kg category.
If Anshu and Aman progress, the quarterfinal and semifinal of their respective categories are scheduled to take place later in the day.
The Indian men's hockey team will take on Spain in the bronze medal match. After a close defeat in the semifinal against Germany on Tuesday, India will now aim to secure the bronze medal by defeating Spain, who went down in their semifinal clash against the Netherlands.
