Indian fans were heartbroken after Lakshya Sen and Lovlina Borgohain's defeats at Paris 2024 Olympics

Indian sports fans had high hopes from Lovlina Borgohain, who won a bronze medal in women's boxing at Tokyo Olympics three years ago. However, she went down by 1-4 in the quarterfinal match against China's Li Qian.

"Heartbreak for Lovlina. Come back stronger Queen," a fan tweeted after her defeat.

Meanwhile, Lakshya Sen suffered a 20-22, 14-21 defeat in the semifinal match against Viktor Axelsen. The Indian shuttler still has a chance of winning the bronze medal, but the semifinal defeat hurt the fans.

"HEARTBREAK FOR LAKSHYA SEN. The dream for the Gold Medal in badminton perishes at the Paris Olympics. A tough defeat against the defending champion for Lakshya," a popular X user tweeted.

Overall, it was a day full of ups and downs for India at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Fans will expect a better show on Day 10.
