The three-member contingent will represent India in tennis at the Paris Olympics 2024. Rohan Bopanna and N Sriram Balaji will participate in the men's doubles, while Sumit Nagal will be the medal contender in the men's singles.

Earlier this year, Bopanna became the oldest World No. 1 after clinching the doubles title at the 2024 Australian Open with Matthew Ebden. Certainly, the veteran will be confident of his performances leading up to his third and possibly final Olympic Games appearance. Meanwhile, Balaji is set to make his Olympic debut.

In the past Olympics, Bopanna paired up with the likes of Leander Paes and Sania Mirza, but couldn't find success. It will be interesting to see if he can end his career by winning an Olympic medal.

On the other hand, Nagal will make his second Olympic appearance. In the Tokyo Olympics, he prevailed over Uzbekistan’s Denis Istomin, but could not defeat Russia's Daniel Medvedev in the Round of 32. After reaching a career-high 77th rank, the 26-year-old would be looking to have a deeper run in the Paris Olympics.

The iconic Roland Garros Stadium will host the tennis games of the Games. The complex, named after Roland Garros, a French aviator, was built in 1928. It recently hosted the French Open, one of the four Grand Slam tournaments in the sport.

The 34-acre complex contains 20 courts, a restaurant, and a bar. After a renovation in 2019, the center court of the venue can accommodate around 15,000 spectators. The other two big courts can handle roughly 5,000 and 10,000 spectators, respectively.

Interestingly, the venue will also host the boxing and sitting volleyball games in the global event.
