Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout and wife Jess welcomed their new offspring, a cute little boy named Jordy, in June this year. It's the couple's second child, after their son Beckham, who was born in July 2020.

Trout's season was cut short as he announced that he tore his meniscus in late July and will be sidelined for the rest of the season. His team didn't fare any better either, as the Angels finished dead-last in the division and just above the White Sox in the final American League regular season standings in 2024.

With his schedule freed up, Mike Trout has spent time with his family during the down time. In an Instagram story, his wife Jessica "Jess" Tara Trout posted an adorable photo of their infant son Jordy.

Mike Trout considering his options for 2025

Following what has been a stellar but injury-embattled career, Mike Trout has discussed swapping positions for the 2025 MLB season.

In an interview a few weeks ago before the Angels clashed with the Chicago White Sox, the multiple-time American League MVP said that he's considering swapping positions for next year.

"Where I'm at and what's happened the last few years, I'm definitely going to try to explore every option that can keep me out there," Trout said.

During his decorated 14-year MLB career, Trout has appeared in center field in 1344 of 1432 games. He also played in left field, right field and as a designated hitter for 124, 17 and 81 times, respectively.

Swapping positions might alleviate the pressure of the All-Star center-fielder and prevent Trout from sustaining any more injuries. It can be recalled that Phillies star and fellow multiple-time MVP Bryce Harper moved from the outfield to first base due to a Tommy John surgery that prohibited him from stressing out his arm. He has since remained relatively healthy after the position change.
