Thanks to Pokemon GO players' efforts during GO Fest 2024: Global, trainers will have the opportunity to catch the Paldean Pokemon Tandemaus and obtain its evolution Maushold in the coming days. But when are these two new Pokemon arriving in the game? According to Niantic, Tandemaus and Maushold will first be made available during the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event on July 17-22, 2024.

After the Better Together portion of the Ultra Unlock event is complete, Pokemon GO players will be able to encounter Tandemaus and evolve Maushold, as they aren't exclusive to the Ultra Unlock event.

As previously mentioned, trainers will get their first shot at obtaining Tandemaus and Maushold in Pokemon GO during the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event from July 17 at 10:00 am local time to July 22, 2024, at 8:00 pm local time. During this time, Tandemaus can be found as a Party Play encounter as well as a reward for Field and Timed Research.

After the Ultra Unlock: Better Together event concludes, players will still be able to find Tandemaus while participating in Party Play and roaming the wild. However, obtaining Maushold is a different story entirely. This will require trainers to collect 50 Tandemaus candies and then open its page and tap the Evolve button to obtain Maushold.

Maushold may be made available at a later date through other means, but after its debut, it will be an evolution-only species unless trainers would prefer to trade for it. For the time being though, if players want to get a Maushold of their very own, they'll have to catch plenty of Tandemaus, set it as their buddy, or use Rare Candies to get the 50 candies for evolution.

With that said, trainers are encouraged to find a few friends and journey into the world of Pokemon GO together through Party Play to find Tandemaus and catch them abundantly.

Otherwise, players may have to look to the trading option with their fellow trainers to get a Tandemaus or a Maushold. The good news is that neither Pokemon will be particularly expensive to trade.

All in all, Tandemaus and Maushold are obtained through fairly standard gameplay means. They may appear elsewhere in the future, but Niantic will have to confirm that on its own when the time comes.
