Pokemon GO introduced Crabrawler back in 2022, and it has appeared sporadically ever since, particularly during Winter-themed events. While this is all well and good, when will Shiny Crabrawler be introduced to Niantic's mobile title? Trainers won't have to wait long, as Shiny Crabrawler is making its first appearance on June 14-16, 2024, as part of GO Fest 2024 Madrid.

However, trainers who don't have the option of traveling to Spain for Pokemon GO Fest Madrid also have the opportunity to catch Shiny Crabrawler during the Spelunker's Cove global event taking place on June 15-18, 2024. This way, trainers worldwide have an opportunity to catch Shiny Crabrawler regardless of their attendance at GO Fest, and lucky trainers can even catch it multiple times.

Where to find Shiny Crabrawler in Pokemon GO Fest Madrid and Spelunker's Cove

If trainers are attending Pokemon GO Fest 2024 in Madrid, they'll be able to find Crabrawler as a wild encounter when the event rotates to the Rocky Shore Habitat hours.

As a wild spawn, Shiny Crabrawler has an approximate 1/512 chance of appearing, but this may be boosted during GO Fest Madrid. Moreover, Crabrawler will be appearing regardless of habitat during the day on a trainer's ticket.

Meanwhile, during Spelunker's Cove, Pokemon GO players can find Crabrawler in the wild, as a Field Research Task reward, and as a Tier-1 raid boss.

By combining these methods, trainers should have a solid chance of finding at least one Shiny Crabrawler or more if its Shiny rate is boosted. Due to event overlap, it's also possible for GO Fest Madrid players to find Shiny Crabrawler in Spelunker's Cove.

It should also be noted that Crabrawler's Shiny arrival coincides with that of Crabrawler's evolution Crabominable, so players are free to evolve their Shiny Crabrawler into a Shiny Crabominable as soon as they have the 50 candies to do so, though players will also have to be within the vicinity of a Glacial Lure Module attached to a Pokestop as well, making evolution slightly trickier overall.

Overall, Shiny Crabrawler will likely be made available again during future events on Niantic's calendar, but GO Fest 2024 Madrid and Spelunker's Cove serve as the initial chances for trainers to catch it.

The sooner they do, the sooner they don't have to worry about doing so down the line, allowing players to shift their focus elsewhere, like evolving Crabrawler or catching other Shinies during the two events.
