Pokemon GO Mega Rayquaza Timed Research for the August 2024 makeup event provides trainers with a free questline that offers a Meteorite as a reward. The unique item is required to teach Rayquaza the Charged Attack Dragon Ascent, which is necessary if players want to mega evolve the Sky High Pokemon.

The Saturday, August 3, 2024 makeup event is a rerun of the earlier Mega Rayquaza Elite Raids event. Thankfully, this time around, trainers will encounter Mega Rayquaza in normal raids, with all Gyms being eligible to host it and remote raiding being available.

The Mega Rayquaza August 2024 event raid schedule is as follows:

11 am local time
1 pm local time
6 pm local time

As mentioned above, the Mega Rayquaza raids are remote-friendly. Niantic has increased the Remote Raid Pass limit to 20 from Friday, August 2, 2024, 5 pm to Saturday, August 3, 2024, 8 pm PDT.
