Super Bowl LVII is just a few hours away, so football fans can finally breathe. The Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs will compete for the Vince Lombardi Trophy starting at 6:30 p.m. ET on February 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Accuweather predicts that it will be approximately 65 degrees and partly sunny in the afternoon.

The retractable roof atop the stadium will be open to let in the cool, temperate air for the NFL's biggest game. The retractable roof is made out of Birdair fabric and takes about 12 minutes to completely open or close.

The rooftop of the stadium was also open for the last two big games held at State Farm Stadium. Most recently, Super Bowl XLIX was held in 2015 in which the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. In 2008, the Giants won the Super Bowl XLIX in a 17-14 victory against the New England Patriots.

What was the original name of the State Farm Stadium?

The Cardinals Stadium was the original name of the State Farm Stadium when it opened in 2006. But later that year, it changed its name to the University of Phoenix Stadium after signing a 20-year contract with the University of Phoenix, which requested the name change.

But in September 2018, State Farm, an insurance provider, agreed to an 18-year naming rights agreement, and the arena was given its present identity.

The State Farm Stadium is 1.7 million square feet. There are 63,400 seats with an unobstructed view.

The stadium is the NFL's second-smallest stadium, after Soldier Field Stadium in Chicago, Illinois, which seats 61,500 people. For large-scale events, the State Farm Stadium can accommodate up to 73,000 people. The stadium has 7,505 club seats and 88 lofts.

The Arizona Cardinals play all of their home games at State Farm Stadium. Each year, it also hosts the Collegiate Fiesta Bowl. Furthermore, the 2008 and 2015 Super Bowls were hosted at this location.

The venue has also hosted the 2011 BCS National Championship Games and the 2016 College Football Playoff National Championship.
