Deshaun Watson has been in the spotlight this week after reports emerged that a woman alleged the Cleveland Browns quarterback sexually assaulted her four years ago when he was with the Houston Texans. Although Watson has denied the allegations, some are curious to learn whether he will suit up for Cleveland in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

As things stand, Deshaun Watson will play for the Browns in Week 2 against the Jaguars. The quarterback has denied the allegations of the recent sexual assault against him. Reports also claimed that the NFL does not plan on placing Watson on the Commissioner's Exempt List.

Furthermore, Watson is listed as active and available on the Browns roster for Sunday's game in Jacksonville.

Browns coach Kevin Stefanski also addressed the allegations against Watson on Wednesday.

"Regarding Deshaun's legal situation, we put out a statement yesterday," Stefanski said. "I won't have much to add past that statement. We'll let due process play out."

As per reports, a woman filed a lawsuit in Houston court on Monday accusing Watson of sexual assault and battery, as well as intentional infliction of emotional distress, demanding $1 million in damages.

Watson's attorney Rusty Hardin acted swiftly in denying the allegations against his client. In a statement via Scott Petrak of The Chronicle-Telegram and The Medina Gazette, Hardin said:

“We have asked him [Watson] not to comment further while this matter works its way through the courts, but are comfortable he will ultimately be vindicated. We will be ready to defend this case in court at the appropriate time, but don’t intend to conduct our defense in the media. We would ask that people be patient while the legal process runs its course."

Deshaun Watson started for Cleveland in the Week 1 loss against the Dallas Cowboys. The quarterback struggled most of the game, completing 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards with one touchdown. He also threw two interceptions in the Browns' 33-17 loss.
