Week 4 of the 2024 fantasy football season has officially arrived and managers must begin setting their lineups. The tight end position has seen some significant changes to the rankings this year as players have been serving unexpected roles with their NFL teams. Here are the best ones to target and fade this week.

Dalton Kincaid appears to be back on track to living up to high expectations following a slow start to the 2024 fantasy football season. He has increased his receiving yards and weekly ranking in each of his three games so far which has resulted in a season-best TE5 finish last week. He currently ranks as the TE11 and has solidified himself as a must-start in Week 4 lineups.

Jake Ferguson is another excellent TE to target in fantasy football this week after a season-high TE3 finish in Week 3. In just two games this season after missing one with an injury, he already has nine receptions on 16 targets for 110 yards. Despite missing a game and failing to score a touchdown yet this season, he still ranks as the TE14 in season-long scoring.

Here is a full list of tight ends to target in Week 4:

  • Dalton Kincaid
  • Jake Ferguson
  • Trey McBride
  • Sam LaPorta

Travis Kelce has been one of the most dominant fantasy football TEs of all time as he finished among the top three players in his position in each of the past eight seasons. However, this year has been a much different story as he is only ranked as the TE24 through his first three games. He can be faded in season-long leagues for teams that have another solid option and he should be avoided in DFS formats.

Mark Andrews is another former elite TE who has become difficult to trust in weekly fantasy lineups. He is currently the TE30 and was held without a reception last week. He can be faded in lineups until he proves that he can still be reliable alongside Isaiah Likely, who has broken out as the TE4 this year so far.
