Fantasy Football Week 2 RB Rankings

Determining which fantasy football running backs to target each week of the season is based on many variables. Their recent individual performances, direct weekly matchups and injury situations surrounding them are among the most important factors.

Jahmyr Gibbs and Josh Jacobs' rankings dipped a bit this week after getting off to a slow start to this season. Joe Mixon is in the opposite situation after his dominant Week 1 performance helped him climb the rankings for Week 2 of the 2024 fantasy football season. Here's where all of them stack up against the rest of the field in this week's running back rankings.

#1. Bijan Robinson

Bijan Robinson was productive in his first game of the season, totaling 111 scrimmage yards on 23 touches. He finished as just the RB19, but if he can find the endzone this week, he could finish as the top overall running back.

#2. Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley exploded to score three touchdowns in his first game with the Philadelphia Eagles. He appears to be a key part of their offensive game plan and has massive upside entering Week 2.

#3. Breece Hall

Breece Hall was solid last week, finishing as the RB15 in fantasy football. While the Tennessee Titans may present a difficult matchup, he has some of the most reliable volume of any running back this season.

#4. Kyren Williams

Kyren Williams finished as the RB2 in fantasy points per game last season, trailing just Christian McCaffrey. He got off to a slow start this year with an RB22 finish, but a potential shootout with the Arizona Cardinals makes him an attractive target.

#5. Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor had a disappointing performance last week, getting just 16 carries and failing to record a reception. He still found the endzone and is an ideal bounce-back candidate in Week 2 fantasy football.

#6. Joe Mixon

Joe Mixon was one of the biggest surprises of Week 1, finishing as the overall RB2. He received 30 carries despite playing in a loaded Houston Texans offense, so his outlook is extremely bright going forward.

#7. Isiah Pacheco

Isiah Pacheco serves as one of the featured players for the Kansas City Chiefs despite their dominant passing game. He was solid last week with an RB17 finish on 17 touches and should keep things rolling against the Cincinnati Bengals.

#8. Jordan Mason

Jordan Mason exploded for 147 rushing yards last week when he was called upon to replace an injured Christian McCaffrey. He is expected to be the starter again for Week 2, giving him a ton of value in fantasy football lineups.

#9 - Rhamondre Stevenson

Rhamondre Stevenson bounced back last week after a disappointing fantasy football season last year. He totaled 126 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 28 touches. He has brightened his 2024 outlook and makes for a solid pick this week.

#10. James Cook

James Cook is expected to receive a larger workload this year after the Buffalo Bills moved on from their top two wide receivers during the offseason. He got things started with 22 touches last week and has a favourable Week 2 matchup in a potential shootout with the Miami Dolphins.
