The XFL has resumed operations. The league, now headed by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, has been resurrected after originally returning in 2020 but was forced to cancel due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Many former Georgia Bulldogs have been given another chance to participate in top-level football due to the league's return. Many top former Bulldogs will be playing in the XFL in 2023 are listed here.

#1 Davin Bellamy (D.C. Defenders)

For the Georgia Bulldogs, Davin Bellamy appeared in 48 contests. He made 27 starts, 25 of which came in his last two years. He made 34 stops overall as a senior for the Bulldogs, with 7.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks with 14 quarterback pressures (third-best on the team).

In the conference championship game, Jarrett Stidham fumbled as a consequence of Bellamy's only tackle in the game, which resulted in a quarterback sack. With six tackles, 1.5 for loss, one sack, three QB hurries and a forced fumble on the game's final drive, Bellamy contributed to the victory at Notre Dame.

He also recorded 1.5 sacks when the Bulldogs faced Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

#2 DeMarcus Hayes (D.C. Defenders)

Only the DC Defenders have more than one Georgia Bulldogs alumni on their roster. Offensive lineman DeMarcus Hayes is the second player in the XFL to have previously played for the Bulldogs.

After starting his collegiate career at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he spent two years as a starter, Hayes joined the Georgia Bulldogs in 2017. He featured in four games in 2018 and six in 2019 and remained in reserve during the rest of his time there.

#3 Cameron Nizialek (Seattle Sea Dragons)

During the early days of Kirby Smart's tenure, Georgia used Cameron Nizialek as their punter.

Nizialek kicked the ball roughly 45 yards on average in 2017. Since then, he has played for various NFL teams, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He even appeared with quarterback Aaron Murray for the Atlanta Kings in the AAF.

#4 Maurice Smith (Vegas Vipers)

Maurice Smith was among the first athletes Kirby Smart acquired from another team.

Fans of the Bulldogs remember him best for scoring the game-winning TD after a pick-6 against the top-10 Auburn Tigers in 2017. Before being released by the Tennessee Titans in 2021, Smith appeared in the NFL for many teams.
