If you play fantasy football, you might have noticed that starting tight ends this season has been a mission more difficult than expected. Safe options such as Dalton Kincaid and Mark Andrews have struggled, while players such as Tucker Kraft emerged as a result. Which of these players is a better option for Week 7?

Is Tucker Kraft a great fantasy pick in Week 7?

With a boom-or-bust feeling, Kraft feels like a safe bet with a low upside. In Week 5, he had four catches for 88 yards and two touchdowns; however, a week later, he had just two catches for 13 yards. He surpassed the 40 yards in just two out of six games.

Luke Musgrave being out is a good sign, but the Packers also had Romeo Doubs returning last week, with Christian Watson having a good game. Kraft, at best, will be their fourth-best receiving option. Proceed with caution.

Is Dalton Kincaid a great fantasy pick in Week 7?

As much as he has been a bit of a disappointment in 2024, he's still a good option. In Week 6, against a strong New York Jets defense, Kincaid caught six of seven targets for 51 yards. These are hardly stellar numbers - but for PPR leagues, there's a lot of value.

20 targets over the past three games is a solid number, and at some point, he'll return to be a target in the red zone. Against a weak Tennessee Titans, this could be the perfect week for his numbers to explode.

Is Mark Andrews a great fantasy pick in Week 7?

You should avoid Andrews as much as you can. With just 186 receiving yards in six games, it's clear that he's not at his prime anymore. The Ravens don't employ a passing offense, instead with a huge percentage of run plays in early downs; when they do pass, Zay Flowers is a better option.

Andrews has just 11 targets over the past four games, far away from his prime numbers in Baltimore. It's unlikely he'll ever return to be a feature of this offense, and against a strong Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense, you should fade him.

Our model from Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer agrees that Kincaid is the best option for fantasy football in Week 7. He has the easiest matchup, which is always a good sign; but the Bills seem to have found something to work in the passing game. This could be a breakout game.
