Tank Dell or Christian Kirk Week 6 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fantasy Football projections for WRs

We're entering Week 6 of football and boy are the injuries starting to hurt. Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins was the latest casualty in Week 5 after going down with a hamstring injury. It's always next man up in the National Football League but the Texans appear more equipped than most to deal with this particular problem.

Tank Dell was an enigma in his rookie year but has found himself on the outside looking in after Houston brought Stefon Diggs to town. With Collins out injured this week, will we see the Texans turn to the electric Dell to keep the offense humming?

Tank Dell fantasy outlook for Week 6

Tank Dell's numbers have been extremely deflating since Diggs was traded to the Texans. A little bit of a dip was to be expected but the Texans have essentially schemed Dell out of the offense.

In Week 5, he had just four targets but hauled all four of them in for 38 yards. Yeah, not great.

Dell is currently averaging 31.8 receiving yards a game and still doesn't have a touchdown to his name. The problem so far has been the volume which is just not there for Dell to exploit.

All that could change this Sunday. The Texans will take on the New England Patriots (who will have Drake Maye under center for the first time this season) and with Nico Collins out injured, Dell should see a few more targets than he did against Buffalo.

Christian Kirk's fantasy outlook for Week 6

The erstwhile winless Jaguars finally picked up their first win of the season against the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday in what was, if we're being honest, a pretty entertaining game. Granted, the Colts didn't have Anthony Richardson, but backup quarterback Joe Flacco made sure the Colts were in it right until the end before the Jags held on for the win.

Christian Kirk was particularly impressive in the win over Indy, finishing the evening with four catches on four targets for 88 yards, including a 61-yard reception. Finally, some signs of life from this Jaguars offense.

Trevor Lawrence's decline, if we want to call it that, has been pretty staggering, and entering Week 6, head coach Doug Pederson is likely coaching for his job. That should bode well for Christian Kirk this week when the Jaguars head to London to take on the Chicago Bears in a battle of a couple of No. 1 overall picks.

The matchup is there for Kirk to exploit, but if we see Evan Engram return to action, all bets are off. Rookie Brian Thomas Jr. has looked special through five weeks of football and the Jaguars clearly aren't hesitant to turn towards him to keep the offense going. Kirk needs to put on a show against Chicago but this Bears defense is not exactly one you can walk all over.

Tank Dell vs Christian Kirk: Final verdict

Sportskeeda's Start/Sit Optimizer is higher on Kirk this week but we beg to differ. With Collins highly unlikely to suit up this week, CJ Stroud will have to rely on Tank Dell and Stefon Diggs to rack up a fifth win.
