Super Bowl LVII: How many Michigan Wolverines players will suit up in the big game? Brandon Graham #55 of the Michigan Wolverines leads his teammates in singing the schools fight song, September 5, 2009

With some members of the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles once playing for the school, some Michigan Wolverines products will feature in the Super Bowl. This is the ninth season in succession that a former Wolverine will win the Lombardi Trophy, which says a lot about the program.

The players for this season include:

QB Chad Henne, DE Mike Danna, DE Frank Clark from the Kansas City Chiefs and DE Brandon Graham from the Philadelphia Eagles.

All four players have participated in previous Super Bowls; Graham won Super Bowl LII in 2018 and Danna played in Super Bowl LV in 2021 as a newcomer. Both Henne and Clark won Super Bowl LIV in 2020 and also attended in 2021.

The other three are anticipated to play significant roles in their teams' defenses, with the exception of Henne. Henne will only appear if star quarterback Patrick Mahomes is forced to withdraw from the contest at any moment.

With his 13th playoff sack, the third-most in league history, Clark added another one against the Cincinnati Bengals. Henne, who had started one game since 2015, stepped up for the Chiefs in the divisional round, taking the place of the injured Patrick Mahomes.

Henne threw for a score in the victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Graham recorded a career-high 11 sacks for the Eagles in the regular season.

Which players from the Michigan Wolverines won the Super Bowl in 2022?

Just a year ago, two former Wolverines were crowned Super Bowl winners. David Long Jr. and Blake Countess, both defensive backs, played for the Los Angeles Rams, who won the championship.

The Super Bowl is on February 12, 2023. Due to the NFL extending its regular season to 17 games (effective since 2021), the game will now take place on the second Sunday in February for the foreseeable future.
