The Philadelphia Eagles played against the Cleveland Browns at home in Week 6. The Eagles were coming off a bye week and were 2-2 on the season. The Browns, on the other hand, were 1-4 and in complete disarray.

The Eagles desperately needed to win, as a loss against the Browns could've led to HC Nick Sirianni's firing. For the Browns, it was important for Deshaun Watson to play well, as the fans were growing impatient and wanted him benched.

At halftime, the score was tied at 10-10 after the Browns blocked Jake Elliott's field goal attempt and returned it for a touchdown. Despite a fight in the second half from the Browns, the Eagles came away with a 20-16 win.

Eagles vs Browns summary

Deshaun Watson struggled at the beginning of the game but recovered in the second half, putting the Eagles under pressure. The Browns came close to tying the game in the fourth quarter, but multiple penalties on offense forced them to kick a field goal with less than four minutes on the clock.

Jalen Hurts did play well, but the Eagles still do not look like a good football team. This was a game where they had the opportunity to win comprehensively and make a statement, but they failed to do so.

Nick Sirianni remains under pressure to deliver results in the upcoming games. The Eagles next three games are against:

  1. Week 7: @ New York Giants
  2. Week 8: @ Cincinnati Bengals
  3. Week 9: vs Jacksonville Jaguars

The Browns are still searching for answers on the offense, and it will be interesting to see what they do next. Even when Watson plays well, they can't win games, and they are in a difficult situation with more tough fixtures coming up.

Their next three games are against:

  1. Week 7: vs Cincinnati Bengals
  2. Wee 8: vs Baltimore Ravens
  3. Week 9: vs Los Angeles Chargers
