Philadelphia Eagles injury report: Latest on A.J. Brown, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Johnny Wilson for Week 3

The Philadelphia Eagles will take on the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in Week 3 of the 2024 NFL season. The Eagles will aim to bounce back from a narrow Week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons.

Let's examine the Eagles' injury report ahead of their game against one of the league's most in-form teams.

Philadelphia Eagles injury report

The Philadelphia Eagles have three players on the injury report ahead of the Saints' game. They are wide receivers A.J. Brown and Johnny Wilson (hamstring) and safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson (foot).

Let's examine whether the players listed above would play any part in their upcoming matchup against the Saints.

A.J. Brown's injury status

According to CBS Sports, perennial Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown is expected to miss a couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury. The Philadelphia Eagles are said to be taking a conservative approach when it comes to their star pass catcher. He has officially been ruled out of the Saints' game.

According to the report, Brown felt sore in his hamstring on Friday before his team's Week 2 game against the Falcons. He was subsequently ruled out of that contest.

Following the Week 2 loss, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni declined to give a specific length for Brown's absence.

Sirianni said when asked about Brown's potential return date:

"We'll see. I don't know that yet. You know I won't give you that information yet because I don't know. We'll see how that goes."

Johnny Wilson's injury status

Johnny Wilson appears on his team's injury report, but thankfully, he looks set to play on Sunday. According to CBS Sports, Wilson doesn't have an injury designation for the game against the Saints.

While the wide receiver did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, he did take to the field on Friday as a full participant. Barring any unforeseen scenarios, Wilson is all but certain to feature against New Orleans.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson's injury status

C.J. Gardner-Johnson is listed as questionable for Sunday against the Saints. The veteran safety is dealing with a foot issue and subsequently missed Thursday and Friday's training sessions.

It's highly unlikely that Gardner-Johnson will feature tomorrow. The Eagles aren't known to take such risks.
