Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor doesn't want to do too much when it comes to talking to his players during the offseason.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is keeping the lines of communication with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins open. The head coach told reporters this week that although neither has participated in OTA's (Organized Team Activities), he has been in contact with them, although he is keeping that to a minimum.

Taylor told reporters that he doesn't talk to Higgins and Chase every day as he doesn't want to 'wear them out' and essentially overwhelm them with information.

"We touch base," Taylor said. "I don't call those guys every day. I'm not trying to wear them out. But again, they do an excellent job when I reach out quickly getting back to me, making sure we're in communication, making sure we we know where everybody's at in the process. And, everything has been really positive with all those guys that are. [00:00:49][15.6] clip via PFT

Zac Taylor said that the communication he has had with both Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase has been positive, despite both being in a position to get a more lucrative contract.

Zac Taylor is not worried about Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase's offseason workout programs

With OTA's underway for the Cincinnati Bengals, quarterback Joe Burrow is left without two of his biggest targets: Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase.

Head coach Zac Taylor isn't worried about the two wideouts being absent from offseason workouts. He told ESPN's Ben Baby this week that the team is aware and confident that both players are conditioning and preparing for the season on their own.

"[They] are still working hard elsewhere, and they’ll be back at the right times, and the beauty is we know those guys. We know what they're about and that they'll be ready and focused when it's time to come back," Taylor said.

Higgins and Chase aren't the only players that Taylor is without during off-season workouts. Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins and right tackle Trent Brown also haven't attended the workouts.

Taylor also said he isn't concerned with either player's preparation. The Cincinnati Bengals will have to wait until training camp to get all of their players back on the field.
