Who is Eric Bieniemy?

Since his high school years, Eric Bieniemy has been an active sportsman and one of the top rushers in the country.

With 1,628 yards and 17 touchdowns, he finished third in the 1991 Heisman Trophy race. As a member of Colorado's national championship squad in 1990, he received unanimous All-America accolades and was nicknamed "Scooter."

The San Diego Chargers picked Eric Bieniemy in the second round of the 1991 NFL draft as the 39th overall. Bieniemy had 183 catches for 711 yards and four TDs while playing with the Chargers.

Bieniemy reached an agreement with the Cincinnati Bengals in 1995. With the Bengals, he had 192 catches for 830 yards and six TDs. In 1999, he joined the Philadelphia Eagles and finished the season with 12 catches for 75 yards and four TDs before announcing his retirement that year.

Before joining the Kansas City Chiefs as the running backs' coach, he served as Colorado's offensive line coach. From 2006 to 2010, he worked with the Minnesota Vikings as the RB coach. He also occupied the same role at UCLA and the University of Colorado.

The Chiefs ranked #1 in the league regarding points scored and yards per game in Bieniemy's first year as the offensive coach.
