When Tom Brady threw 'surreal' yacht-to-yacht throw to F1 star Daniel Ricciardo (Watch)

Tom Brady and Daniel Ricciardo are two famous sportsmen, but they have nothing to do with each other. Brady is a seven-time Super Bowl champion who has won everything possible in football, while Ricciardo is not retired, but currently out of a job in Formula One.

The two guys merged their universes back in 2018, when the quarterback was in Monaco to watch the famous Monaco Grand Prix. It is one of the most famous races in Formula One, and that year, it ended with Ricciardo winning on the back of an impressive performance.

As Red Bull hosted their famous party with many celebrities at the Grand Prix, the pair interacted in a yacht-to-yacht game, with Brady throwing a dime to Ricciardo. The F1 star returned with an impressive punt.

Ricciardo qualified on pole position but had major problems holding off both Sebastian Vettel from Ferrari and Lewis Hamilton from Mercedes. He had a power issue with his Red Bull car but still managed to win the race.

Mind you, Monaco is one of the most difficult tracks to overtake - he would not have won that race on any other track.

Which Formula One races has Tom Brady attended?

Tom Brady is a fan of motorsports. He was spotted in the Mercedes' paddock in advance of the 2016 Canadian Grand Prix and was filmed speaking with driver Lewis Hamilton. The latter had qualified on pole position and won the race after a fierce battle with teammate Nico Rosberg that season. Rosberg ended up winning the 2016 championship though.

However, his visit to the Canadian Grand Prix did not stop with the Mercedes. He was also spotted in Red Bull's garage taking a look at Max Verstappen's car. Verstappen was just in his third-ever race for Red Bull, having been promoted to the principal team following some impressive performances in the junior team.

Lewis Hamilton is said to be pleased to meet Tom Brady, whom he considers an idol, that day. It's understandable why. They also share an interesting nugget as they're both seven-time world champions in their sports, which is the biggest-ever mark by any competitor.
