The questionable opinions of Aaron Rodgers aren't really a secret. The New York Jets quarterback uses his platform to spread many conspiracy theories about every possible subject, and while different opinions are always welcome, one can argue that he sometimes goes beyond the line.
But this fame is spreading all across the country, as the announcer of the New York Yankees wasn't letting him escape as he was filmed during the Bronx Bombers' game against the Seattle Mariners on Monday. As Rodgers had a chat with some people inside the stadium, the announcer didn't waste the opportunity to poke fun at his controversial takes:
Rodgers is set to return to the field in Week 1 on Sept. 9, as the New York Jets face the San Francisco 49ers in the first game of the 2024 NFL season. This will be his comeback after missing all but four snaps of the 2023 season with an injury after his trade from the Green Bay Packers.

Perhaps the biggest sign of how he's an interesting character is his use of ayahuasca in recent years. As he revealed a year ago on Aubrey Marcus' popular podcast, he discovered the substance on a trip to South America a few years ago:
"To me, one of the core tenets of your mental health is self-love," Rodgers said. "That’s what ayahuasca did for me, was help me see how to unconditionally love myself.
"It’s only in that unconditional self-love that then I’m able to truly, unconditionally love others. And what better way to work on my mental health than to have an experience like that?”
Ayahuasca is not part of the list of banned substances by the NFL, which means that no matter what Rodgers does with the substance, they can't suspend him for its use.
He's not the only player to use the substance, however, with Jordan Poyer recently revealing that he took an interest in ayahuasca following the quarterback's propaganda. They'll be facing each other twice during the season, as Poyer moved to the Miami Dolphins during the offseason, and they play in the same division as the Jets.
