Justin Herbert showed a different side to him during a recent Chiefs vs. Chargers game. A video showing the quarterback pounding his helmet against the wall went viral, and Chargers fans reacted to this on social media.

On Sunday, The Los Angeles Chargers welcomed defending champions Kansas City Chiefs at the SoFi Stadium. The Chiefs edged out a 17-10 victory in a low-scoring game. The Chargers who were 10-0 in the 1st quarter couldn't score any points in the remaining three quarters.

The Chiefs' defense frustrated Herbert and Co. to the point of exhaustion. The Chargers QB took out his frustration on his helmet in the 3rd quarter. Herbert smashed his helmet against a structure while clutching it with both hands.

“I ain’t never seen Justin Herbert get this mad,” a fan tweeted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Some sympathized with the QB.

“Oh my god, they’ve officially broken Justin Herbert’s soul,” another fan tweeted.
“He finally fed up with this shit, bout time man,” a fan tweeted.
‘He fed up and I feel him,” a fan tweeted.

Several blamed the coaching and the front office calls made earlier this season. They felt things ranging from trades to the employment of the new OC were the root cause of the outburst.

“Greg Roman showing why he didn’t have a job last season,” a fan tweeted.
“He has to hang out with Jim Harbaugh all the time just to still lose to the Chiefs,” another fan tweeted.
“I give Harbaugh 2-3 years max,” one fan tweeted.

Justin Herbert receives praise from his head coach despite loss

Even though the Chargers have lost two games in the last two weeks, coach Jim Harbaugh sees no issues with Herbert. After the loss against the Chiefs, Harbaugh highlighted on ESPN the need to give the QB more time.

“We've got to get Justin another half-second, second, we really do," he said. "I mean, he's trying to get the ball out as fast as he possibly can, and he is.”

The Chargers have a bye week in Week 5, so they will have the time to drill in the offensive issues. They will face the Denver Broncos in Week 6.
