With a grudge match scheduled between the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills in Week 5, Nico Collins is backing Stefon Diggs to have a huge game and show Buffalo fans what they are missing. Diggs was an integral part of the Bills team that achieved so much success over the past half-decade or so, where they were always the team to beat in the AFC East and contending for playoff honors.

However, they never made the Super Bowl and this offseason Stefon Diggs moved to Houston. There were salary cap reasons to contend with but there were rumors that star quarterback Josh Allen was not happy with the wide receiver's attitude, having been at the end of many publicly irate rants when the Bills lost.

One would expect the former Buffalo player to showcase his best version against them so that they can appreciate that they made a mistake in trading him. And his current Texans teammate, Nico Collins, is promising that will be exactly how it goes down. Speaking to Adam Schein, Collins said that it will be a big game and all the Houston players will be trying to ensure that they win.

“We know it’s a big game for Stef. We know what we gotta do, we gotta go out here and win for Stef," Collins said. "I’m happy for my dog. I’m happy that he’s part of the Texans, but know this game means a lot to him. I feel like it’s only right for us to go out there, have fun and get this win for him.”

Nico Collins Texans' top dog over former Bills WR Stefon Diggs

During his time in Buffalo, Stefon Diggs was the undisputed star receiver for the Bills. Quarterback Josh Allen's production came mainly through him and opponents tried to slow him down to affect how well their offense played.

But with the Texans, Nico Collins has looked like the primary target for C.J. Stroud, which is not surprising given their familiarity from last year. While the former Buffalo wideout has 233 receiving yards and two touchdowns in four games, Nico Collins far surpasses that with 489 receiving yards and a couple of his own endzone forays.

Both teams are considered dark horses for the Super Bowl this season and have identical 3-1 records. Whoever wins this game will steal a march not just in the standings but also psychologically. That could be crucial if and when the two franchises meet again in the AFC playoffs.
