"Somebody on the Cowboys getting fired": Kayla Nicole gets blunt as Detroit Lions embarrass Dallas 47-9 

The Dallas Cowboys hosted the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon on franchise owner Jerry Jones' 82nd birthday. But if the Cowboys owner was expecting something big from his team, he was left borderline embarrassed after the Lions enforced a 47-9 beatdown of the Cowboys.

Quarterback Dak Prescott admitted that he needed to play better than he did on the day. But we are yet to see defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer bring anything to the table since his much-heralded appointment in the offseason.

Coach Mike McCarthy didn't address the media following the loss on Sunday evening. But one person who thinks someone's job is in jeopardy is Travis Kelce's ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole.

Nicole tuned into the Lions' 47-9 beatdown of the Cowboys and said after Dallas fell to its third loss of the season:

"Idk who, but somebody on the Cowboys getting fired. 47-9!!!??????????"

Nicole, a sports journalist who graduated from Pepperdine, has been away from the NFL for a while but returned to previewing games over the past two weeks. Ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs' Monday Night Football showdown against the New Orleans Saints last week, she discussed Kelce's slow start to the season.

Then, Nicole, on WNBA sensation Angel Reese's 'Unapologetically Angel' podcast, anointed Kelce as the best tight end in the National Football League and tapped his teammate Patrick Mahomes as the best quarterback in the league.

Is Cowboys owner Jerry Jones thinking of firing Mike McCarthy?

Right after the game, as is custom, Jerry Jones addressed the media and answered a few questions from reporters.

Naturally, the main question on Sunday evening was whether Mike McCarthy's job was on the line. Asked if he was considering firing McCarthy after the 47-9 loss to Detroit, Jones answered:

“I’m not considering that.”

However, Jones added that the loss was "very concerning" and "very humbling," adding that it was a "shocker" to see the Cowboys fall to the Lions in such a manner.

The Cowboys famously dismissed a pursuit of Derrick Henry in the offseason, later suggesting that it would be too expensive to make a move for the two-time NFL rushing yards and rushing TDs leader.

Earlier on Sunday, Henry racked up his 8th and 9th touchdowns of the season, becoming the first player in Ravens history to score a touchdown in his first six games of the season.

Behind Henry's two touchdowns and 132 yards rushing, the Ravens also became the second team in the Super Bowl era with at least 150 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown in its first six games of a season. The last team to do so were the 1971 Oakland Raiders.
