Kansas City Chiefs fans anticipate each of Taylor Swift's appearances to cheer for Travis Kelce. However, Swift missed KC's last two outings, leaving fans concerned about her relationship with the All-Pro. Interestingly, the Black Space singer's absence had nothing to do with Kelce.

Instead, it had everything to do with her security. According to the latest report from PageSix, security concerns caused Taylor Swift to miss Travis Kelce's Week 3 and Week 4 wins. A source reported to the publication that:

"If she is going to a place that isn’t Arrowhead, there are security concerns. She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance."

Kansas City played its last two contests in Atlanta and Los Angeles, away from Swift's comfort of Arrowhead Stadium. Nevertheless, security has become a significant concern for Swift since police uncovered an ISIS plot to attack her Vienna shows.

While Swifties enjoy watching Taylor cheer for Kelce, many fans blame her for the tight end's slow start. This includes NFL insider Todd McShay, who has criticized the All Too Well singer for the TE's decline.

Todd McShay blames Taylor Swift for Travis Kelce's underwhelming 2024 performance

Travis Kelce didn't have a great start to the season, leaving fans unsatisfied with his on-field performance. During last week's episode of The Ryen Russillo podcast, Ex-ESPN insider Todd McShay blamed Taylor Swift for Kelce's missteps.

“Every show I watch, every pregame show, halftime show, postgame show, weekday show, every broadcast I watch for the last few weeks, it’s like, are we not allowed to say that he’s out of shape, that he’s been partying all offseason? He’s been jet-setting around with the most famous person probably in the entire world." (1:02:40)

"I want you to take a picture from preseason 2022 and then take a picture preseason 2024. They are barely the same human being. Everyone’s like, ‘We got to get him the ball, why isn’t he part of the offense?’ The defense is double-covering. Here’s the thing, bottom line with Kelce: The coverage and the respect he gets is the same. The athlete is not."

Amid the criticism, Travis Kelce's mom Donna took a stand for the Super Bowl champion. While Donna took Kelce's side, Whoopi Goldberg also condemned fans who blame Swift for her boyfriend's rocky start.
