"Raiders are a joke": Fans trash NFL franchise as $141,250,000 Davante Adams gamble fails to pay off

Just hours after Davante Adams said on the Up and Adams Show, that he's cutting out all the noise around him being traded by the Las Vegas Raiders, there are reports of the opposite.

The entire rumor mill started when Raiders HC Antonio Pierce liked a post that speculated that the wideout had played his last snap with the Raiders in the win over the Cleveland Browns.

In the Kay Adams show, the wideout said that the Head Coach hadn't spoken to him about liking the post. Then, Ian Rapoport took to X (formerly, Twitter) to share that reportedly, Davante had himself requested the Raiders that he'd be preferred to be traded from the team.

The team had signed Adams on a $141.25 million contract extension for 5 years. At the time, it catapulted him to the top of the list of wide receivers with the largest contracts.

Raiders fans were horrified at the decision that their big bet had failed to win them any dividends. Some of them took to X to express their anger at the team for failing to make the most out of the 6x Pro Bowler, while NFL fans also commented on the matter.
