Patrick Mahomes might not play as long as Tom Brady did, says Randi Mahomes

Tom Brady, with seven Super Bowl titles to his name, gave two decades of his life to the NFL.

While Mahomes is in line to win more Super Bowls, he might retire early, his mother said. Speaking on 'The Mom Game podcast', Randi Mahomes revealed she was proud of Patrick for his clarity.

“I hear him, you know, make comments like, 'If the game takes away from my kids, I might not play as long as Tom Brady' and I'm like I'm so proud of him for that," Randi said (Timestamp: 24:32).

Randi even discussed Patrick before he joined the NFL, revealing how football was never the QB's first choice.

That being said, Mahomes himself spoke about his career and playing as long as Tom Brady did. In an interview with TIME Magazine, the 28-year-old revealed how he doesn't want to miss out on his children growing up.

“I’ve looked," Mahomes said. "If I played until Tom’s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old. That would mean missing plenty of youth sporting events and other commitments.

Mahomes added that he would like to play for a long time, but he also wants to be there for his children.
