In the days leading up to the Super Bowl, players are constantly taking questions from the media. Patrick Mahomes found today that sometimes the questions aren't always what they are cracked up to be. While taking questions on Wednesday, Mahomes took a question from former Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

Marshall asked how it made him feel that Rihanna, who will be performing during the Super Bowl LVII halftime show, chose him as her favorite quarterback. Mahomes was a bit blown away at first and then took it as a compliment. He even went as far as to say that he thinks that some of his family members are more excited to watch her perform than him.

Marshall: Rihanna came out and said that you are the greatest quarterback ever. Hearing that, how does that make you feel?
Mahomes: It makes me feel great. She's gonna crush it at halftime. I have family members that I think are more excited about the halftime show than they are the game. And so whatever Rihanna says is like the gospel, so I'm glad that she went with me for that honor.
Marshall: She didn't, she didn't, I was just messing with you.
Mahomes: Oh man, you got me up here smiling and smirking, I can't believe you got me with that.

While it may have made the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback blush a bit, it did bring a lighter side to the media questions that can sometimes be very hard-hitting.

Patrick Mahomes gives shoutout to LeBron James after record-breaking night

Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James is now the all-time leading scorer in the NBA. While Patrick Mahomes is preparing for Super Bowl LVII, he took a moment to give a shoutout and praise to James. The Chiefs quarterback tweeted shortly after James broke the NBA record, congratulating him and noting that his performance was legendary.

On Wednesday, while taking questions from the media, the Chiefs quarterback said that he has a relationship with James and talks to him every so often:

“I talk to LeBron James every once in a while and try to gain as much advice as possible. You gain inspiration because it wasn’t something that he was chasing or that he even thought was possible. He just continued to work every single year and every single day, and he got there. And he is still playing at a high level. It’s legendary stuff."
