NFL fans react as Bears take a dominant win in preseason opener vs Buffalo: "Bills are Cooked"

The Buffalo Bills opened their latest preseason with a resounding loss to the Chicago Bears. Conversely, the Bears, led by No.1 overall draft pick Caleb Williams, have reason for optimism.

After a close first half that saw Chicago up 6-3, the Bears took total control in the second half. A 20-point fourth quarter propelled Chicago as they outscored the Bills 27-3 the rest of the way to earn their dominant victory.

Though it's just preseason, fans on social media think the Bills could be in trouble following their lax performance. Some fans think Buffalo will have a losing record and miss the playoffs this year.

While some pointed out the Bills' struggles, others acknowledged how well Caleb Williams and the Bears looked.

In the victory, Williams completed 4-of-7 passes for 95 yards. Running back Ian Wheeler had five carries for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Booker and Daniel Hardy each recorded 2.5 sacks.

For the Bills, Mitchell Trubisky completed 10-of-18 passes for 82 yards. Shane Buechele was their leading rusher with 22 yards and Frank Gore Jr. had 21 ground yards.

Following their 0-1 start, the Buffalo Bills look for a win next week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills play on the road at 7:00 PM as they travel to Pittsburgh. The Steelers lost their preseason opener against the Houston Texans on Friday night, 20-12.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears look to carry their momentum into next week's home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their pre-season opener this evening.
