After many great games on Thursday Night Football, the New Orleans Saints and the Denver Broncos met in Week 7 trying to continue this trend. However, the game quickly turned into a disappointing game, with Spencer Rattler delivering an uninspiring performance.

Bo Nix and a strong Denver Broncos defense were able to put a 16-3 advantage at halftime, and with the Saints struggling offensively, there wasn't much to be hopeful for the second half. Derek Carr's injury meant Spencer Rattler was given his second start in five days, and he once again had a disappointing performance.

NFL fans, especially those who support the New Orleans Saints, were extremely disappointed to see a game of this caliber played at halftime, especially as the home team couldn't put up much of a fight from the very start.

"Every time I think you have broadcasted the worst game in primetime history, you surprise me with an even worse one. Impressive, really," wrote one fan.
"Saints might be worse than Carolina," another fan said.
"Coming back in the second half to win, would be a very appropriate thing on Drew Brees appreciation night," one fan added.

The Saints hosted a special event for former quarterback Drew Brees to be inducted into the franchise's Hall of Fame. With Spencer Rattler putting an erratic performance in place of Derek Carr, who's out with an oblique injury, New Orleans fans had to wish for their beloved quarterback to suit up one more time.

When will Derek Carr return from injury for the Saints?

The quarterback is on a 3-to 4-week timeline to return from his oblique problem. He has already missed the Week 6 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has not recovered to play against the Broncos and is also likely to miss the Week 8 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

This season, Carr has eight touchdowns, four interceptions and 989 passing yards in four-and-a-half games. While these are hardly star numbers, he at least had New Orleans playing at a respectable level when he was on the field. This doesn't feel like the case with Rattler under center.
