Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews sounded the alarms when he was involved in a serious car accident a couple of weeks ago. Andrews is still one of the elite performers in this position, and many NFL fantasy football managers are interested in acquiring his services.
With less than a week before the season-opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, here is what fans should know about Andrews' availability.

Ravens fans have reasons to rejoice as everything points out Andrews will be available for Week 1 against the back-to-back Super Bowl champions. He was involved in a car accident on Aug. 14, missing on-field time for two weeks. ESPN's Jamison Hensley reported today that Andrews returned to the practice field despite being uninjured in the accident.
"I feel really good," Andrews said after practice. "I'm excited. I'm excited for this game. It's a big game."
The next step should be ramping up his acclimatization for what would be a difficult start to the season. He remains a top tight end in the NFL, sitting at 55 on ESPN draft rankings. Andrews is rostered by 99.6% of the teams in traditional leagues.
Should fantasy managers be worried about Ravens TE?
Despite the initial scare, Mark Andrews should be good to go for next Thursday. His fantasy managers shouldn't worry about any repercussions of the car accident.
That said, it's worth noting that Andrews only played 10 games last season while dealing with knee issues. He still showed off his quality, staying as one of Lamar Jackson's favorite targets. Andrews averaged 13.2 ppg in 2023, which is a lot for his position.
There are still other options at TE, like George Kittle, Sam LaPorta, Travis Kelce, Trey McBride and Kyle Pitts, among others, but Andrews is a solid player who can contribute to whoever drafts him for the upcoming season.
At 28, Andrews is one of the most reliable players on the Ravens offense, earning Pro-Bowl honors three times in his career, racking up 381 receptions, 4,857 receiving yards and 40 touchdowns during his tenure in Baltimore.
2024 can be a historic year for him if he catches two touchdown receptions to surpass Todd Heap as the all-time leader in Ravens history.
