The election season is at its peak and the presidential candidates have been on full throttle with their campaigns. Former president Barack Obama is helping Kamala Harris; however, his recent efforts left Jordan Poyer's wife Rachel Bush unimpressed.

Obama gave a brief speech at the "Black Voters for Harris" campaign event in East Liberty. However, Bush felt his words weren't credible enough to be trusted. On Friday, she took to her X account and shared her criticism of it.

“You can tell he doesn’t even believe in the words coming out of his mouth. A good speaker, and he can’t even deliver this in a credible way." -Rachel Bush on X.

Bush's criticism came after she called out Kamala Harris for doing a podcast episode amidst the hurricane crisis. Harris made an appearance on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast with Alex Cooper on Monday.

"Aw so glad she has time for this. Not like Americans are in any sort of crisis that should have the undivided attention of the current** administration."

Rachel Bush sympathized with David Montgomery following suicide confession

On Thursday, Detroit Lions star David Montgomery appeared on Sports Illustrated's "Fantasy Dirty" podcast. He revealed that he had suicidal thoughts in his rookie year in the NFL. Sharing her reaction to Montgomery's mental health struggles, Rachel Bush said:

"Jordan & I (along with others) have had the conversation about- “what has changed in football over the years that is slowly deteriorating it?” One of the main conclusions we came to was social media for multiple different reasons. Too many to list in one tweet. But how sad."
"One thing I personally have not been able to grasp over our NFL years is how fans will trash talk and speak so negatively on one of their own team’s players. The best thing you could do for that player and that team is uplift."

David Montgomery would have taken his life if it wasn't for his nephew. The Lions running back also shared that his nephew helped him fight his mental health battles.
