"Just amazing," the Bears star reacted to Biles' Olympics win.

Jonathan Owens is on approved Olympics leave from Chicago Bears

Simone Biles winning the gold medal for the USA is definitely a proud moment and something that her husband, Jonathan Owens, would not have wanted to miss. The Chicago Bears made sure that he could be present in the arena when Biles clinched another gold for the country.

"Just because we respect the Olympics. That is a big deal. And he's just supporting the one he loves the most. And I think that's so cool that he gets to do that. We welcome that, and it's going to be awesome. Go USA," Bears head coach Matt Eberflus said via ESPN.

Even though Owens might have missed a couple of camps, he did report to last week’s practice camp.

Talking about last week, it was Owens' birthday, and Biles penned down a heartwarming note for her husband while practicing for the Olympics in Paris.

"Happy happy birthday to my husband, best friend, confidante and party goer, thanks for being the calm to my storm! I love you with all my heart and I can’t wait to see what this year brings! Let’s do it big baby wish I was there to celebrate you, but I’ll see you soon!!! XO," Biles wrote.

According to ESPN, Owens is expected to miss the Bears practice camps from July 29 to August 3. After Simone Biles finishes her leg at the Olympics 2024, the couple could celebrate her win in Paris before making their way back on August 4, the expected reporting date.
