Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had a meltdown this morning on his weekly radio appearance on 105.3 The Fan and has Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban feeling bad for him. Jones was irratated by being asked about Dallas' offseason moves, threatening to have the radio hosts fired.

Appearing on ESPN First Take this morning, on a segment where it seemed he would be talking about Jones and his comments, Cuban could be heard saying:

"I feel bad for Jerry [Jones], I really do. I like him."

This happened on a segment before the show went to commercial break, with fans hearing Cuban say that he felt sorry for the Cowboys owner.

Here's what Jones said to Shan and RJ, the hosts of the 105.3 The Fan show, after he was asked about the offseason approach and why the team is struggling now:

“This is not your job. Your job isn’t to let me go over all the reasons that I did something and I’m sorry that I did it. That’s not your job. I’ll get somebody else to ask these questions. I’m not kidding."

Jones continued his rant:

"You really think you’re gonna sit here with a microphone and tell me all of the things that I’ve done wrong without going over the rights? Listen, we both know we’re talking to a lot of great fans, a lot of great listeners. And I am very sorry for what happened out there Sunday. I’m sick about what happened Sunday."

Jones was simply asked general questions of why his team isn't playing up to the standard expected. Many think that Jones overreacted and threatening the hosts' jobs was out of line.

The question that made Jerry Jones explode over the radio this morning was if he thinks not adding key free agents in the offseason has led to the team's struggles.

Dallas lost running back Tony Pollard to the Tennessee Titans, with many hoping the team would sign a free agent running back. The team replaced Pollard with Ezekiel Elliott, who was let go by Dallas after the 2022 season. He hasn't been much help for the team this season, serving as the backup running back to Rico Dowdle.

The Cowboys also didn't add any new starting wide receivers or pass catchers in free agency.

Part of the reason for Dallas' inactivity during free agency is because of the $240 million contract given to quarterback Dak Prescott the $136 million contract signed by wide receiver CeeDee Lamb this offseason.

Dallas is currently 3-3 and is in third place in the NFC East.
