Odell Beckham Jr. is still looking for a team as Christmas becomes more than just an abstract idea. The two flirted, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones decided that T.Y. Hilton would ultimately fit the bill much better; however, that didn't shut the door on the former Rams wide receiver.

Speaking in a clip via the Rich Eisen Show, Jerry Jones kept the door open for a resolution to the "will they? won't they?" relationship between the Cowboys and the wide receiver. Here's how the owner and general manager of the team put his intentions:

"Of course, we wouldn't have been interested in Odell had he not had the kind of talent that certainly can last to the spring, so to speak. But I think it's fair to say that he's a outstanding receiver. He's not ready to play today. That's important. But he will be ready come spring."

He continued, hinting that the receiver could be an addition in January:

"He's a receiver that I think would fit any team, and so as I want to easily say there's going to be continued interest in Odell... if you include the playoffs."

Odell Beckham Jr. stole the headlines as Thanksgiving came into view, but the team signed T.Y. Hilton. Hilton played for the Indianapolis Colts from 2012 until 2021. His prime career spanned from 2012 until the end of the 2018 season.

During that span, the wide receiver earned, at least, 1,000 yards five times and, at least, 850 yards every season, despite the Colts' infamous carousel at quarterback. However, in 2019 and 2020, while he was out of his prime, he didn't hit a cliff.

He went on to earn 501 yards and 762 yards that season. Last year, 2021, the receiver hit a rough patch, as he earned just 331 yards that season. After a long break, he's ready to get back into the saddle. Meanwhile, while Odell Beckham Jr. won the Super Bowl last season, he suffered an ACL tear that has left many wondering about his ability to play this season.

As it stands, the Cowboys are opting for another, and if the wide receiver becomes fully ready to play in the coming weeks, the team could revisit their proposition. With wide receivers on the team, the Cowboys will have CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Noah Brown, T.Y. Hilton, Odell Beckham Jr., Dalton Schultz, Ezekiel Elliot, and Tony Pollard among others.
