The Dallas Cowboys suffered the second loss of their NFL season at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens. Their defense was a no-show on Sunday as Baltimore dominated from on air and the ground, ultimately beating them 28-25.

The AFC North team asserted its dominance from the beginning, taking the first quarter 14-3 and entering halftime up 21-6.

Fans expressed their distress with the current state of the Cowboys' defense, calling out defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer for the unit's struggles to start the season on X.

"RIP to the years of great defense, Mike Zimmer is a massive downgrade from Dan Quinn," one fan posted.

"Zimmer is doing to McCarthy what Garrett did to Wade Phillips," another fan wrote.
"Mike zimmer sucks. Another old coach who’s had the league pass him by," another fan posted.

Others called for Zimmer's firing while clowning him, writing that until the defense gets things back on track, the rest of the team will keep struggling.

The Baltimore Ravens racked up 456 total yards: 182 through the air and 274 rushing. They reached the red zone three times and scored in each trip. The rushing defense struggled against Derrick Henry and company, allowing 16 rushing first downs against Dallas' two.

Henry rushed for 151 yards, Lamar Jackson for 87 and Justice Hill for 33.

Baltimore showed that it needed to win after two painful losses and did everything to exploit the Cowboys' weaknesses on the way to the victory.

Cowboys set to face Giants with 1-2 record in primetime

Week 3 is in the books now for Dallas (1-2). Its next game could be a turning point for the season, as the Cowboys face a divisional rival that won its first game on Sunday.

The New York Giants upset the Cleveland Browns 21-15 on the road. As Tiki Barber said ahead of the game, it was an important matchup for the Giants.

If Dallas finishes Week 4 with a 1-3 record, more fans will raise their eyebrows, and not only Zimmer, but Mike McCarthy and the rest of the coaching staff will be under the spotlight. The Cowboys played excellent defense under Dan Quinn, but they're a shell of that team after three games.
