Geno Smith was under fire after an underwhelming first half for the Seattle Seahawks against the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field. The home team struggled to get things going in the first half, as they watched the Niners take a 13-point lead at halftime (16-3).

Smith attempted 18 passes and completed nine of them for 109 passing yards but was intercepted once. Fans were unhappy with this performance and took to X/Twitter to criticize the team's performance.

"Seahawks were the fakest 3-0 team ever omg," one fan said.
"Geno and Co gotta act like they wanna win," another fan said.
"How can Gino look so good and so bad at the same time," another fan wrote.

Others couldn't believe what they were watching from Seattle, criticizing them for not living up to the expectations:

"Can’t believe the Hawks were once one of the undefeated teams after Week 3," one fan said.

After getting upset 29-20 by the New York Giants in Week 5, the Seahawks will be desperate to win this game, but the first half was next to terrible. Geno Smith put on solid numbers, but it didn't help his team on the scoreboard. To make things worse, the 49ers received the ball to start the second half and scored a touchdown in the first drive.

Geno Smith gets picked as he searches for first win over 49ers as Seahawk

Smith isn't having the best night of his career so far. The night was off to a rough start, as he was picked by Malik Mustapha after overthrowing a pass to wide receiver Tyler Lockett. Fans weren't happy with this play, taking to social media to express their discomfort with Smith's performance.

This was not the ideal scenario for the quarterback who is turning 34 today and was looking to get his first win against San Francisco as the Seahawks' starter. Since he was named the starter in 2022, Smith has been winless against the 49ers in five games, including the postseason, but that performance doesn't seem to be coming tonight.

"Those five games don't help them, don't help us. It's about this game. That's all that really matters...," Smith told NBC Sports Bay Area.

Geno Smith has a mission now. He must figure it out before the season slips away following a promising 3-0 start.
