Eagles fans shook as video of A.J. Brown’s accident goes viral

A.J. Brown almost died while live-streaming himself biking, and fans thought it was a rival receiver who was responsible.

The Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver recently filmed himself on Instagram doing the Eagles Autism Challenge, a bike ride for charity. However, he was almost hit by a car.

Fortunately, he emerged unscathed, as evidenced by this tweet:

"I’m fine everyone lol. Someone ran the stop sign😡 . I didn’t fall off my bike, I just dropped my phone and got out of the way . Stay safe everyone 👍🏽"

In another Twitter video, this time posted by @SecretatyHurts, Brown can be heard saying:

“Tthis s–t right here crazy bruh … I ain’t doing this s–t no more.”

And while he could not accurately describe the vehicle that almost killed him, Brown did mockingly provide this hint:

"I think I saw a star on the license plate."

Someone on Reddit immediately accused San Francisco 49ers counterpart Deebo Samuel of perpetrating the deed:

Others pointed the finger on the JuJu Smith-Schuster, whose New England Patriots the Eagles open their season against:

And a few others implored the NFL to ban football players from riding bikes, lest they be seriously injured:

A.J. Brown was very fortunate to emerge from his accident unharmed; otherwise, the Eagles would have lost an important aerial weapon.

Upon arriving via trade from the Tennessee Titans in 2022, Brown only improved his stats. He started all but one game and caught 88 passes for four yards shy of 1,500 and 11 touchdowns, all personal bests (the 1,496 yards also broke the franchise record for most in one season).

A.J. Brown also set a franchise record for most receiving yards by a team debutant, at 155 against the Lions on opening week. For his efforts, he was elected to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro second team.

He continued to be prolific in the conference playoffs, catching seven passes for 50 yards. At Super Bowl LVII, Brown added six passes for 96 yards and his only postseason touchdown; but the Eagles lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 35-38.
