On Thursday, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle became one of the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL. The Dolphins and Waddle agreed to a three-year, $84.75 million contract extension, which includes $76 million guaranteed. The deal makes him the fourth-highest-paid receiver in the NFL, with $28.5 million per year.
Waddle trails his teammate, Tyreek Hill, who is the third-highest wideout in the NFL, as he makes $30 million a season.
Following the news of Waddle becoming one of the league's highest-paid wide receivers, fans were shocked.
