If Lamar Jackson continues performing on the same trajectory that we have seen so far in the season, it won't be a surprise if he bags the NFL MVP award for the second time in a row.

On top of that, in the Cincinnati Bengals game, the quarterback gave us his, nay, the league's best drive of the season so far. The Bengals had established an early lead in the game. But then the Ravens managed to catch up and sent the game into overtime in a drive that got Chris Long to say this about him in his podcast 'Green Light':

"I'm talking about Lamar driving the ball down the field, and I'm talking about beating the Blitz. And Lamar beat the Blitz. He had a third and 10 he hit and then he makes the, that's his Heisman moment. That is the thing that wins you the Heisman in college, yes, like, if he wins the MVP this year, and there's one moment you need, that's the moment. I look at that play and I'm like, some guys are just better."

That's some heavy praise for the 2x NFL MVP! However, that's not it. 7x Super Bowl Champion, and the GOAT of football, Tom Brady even admitted that there was one record where he could not match up to the Ravens QB.

Tom Brady gives Lamar Jackson a much-deserved shout-out

Brady took to Instagram to post a reel highlighting his top 3 players of Week 5 in the 2024 season. Kirk Cousins was number one, and Patrick Surtain from the Denver Broncos clinched the third spot. Lamar Jackson came in at second and here's what Brady had to say about him:

"Lamar was a human highlight reel. What an incredible overtime win over the Bengals. He's been unbelievable this season. This one record that I would have no chance to ever complete - he's the first player in history to have 300 pass yards, 50 rush yards, and four touchdowns in multiple games. Truly incredible."

He also said that he was looking forward to the upcoming SNF matchup between the Ravens and the Washington Commanders, led by Jayden Daniels. Lamar Jackson lost his first two games of the season, but since then, has been on a three-game winning streak.

The Commanders, on the other hand, are on a four-game winning streak. Under their rookie QB, the Commanders have emerged as a new team altogether. But it remains to be seen how well they'll do against strong teams like the Ravens. We might have an answer this Sunday.
