Nick Sirianni seemingly had something to prove during the Philadelphia Eagles' 21-17 win against the Kansas City Chiefs in their Super Bowl LVII rematch on Monday night.

The defending NFC champions overcame a 7-17 deficit and shut out the defending Lombardi holders in the second half, as Jalen Hurts snuck himself into the endzone twice. In a clip released by NBC Sports Philadelphia, head coach Sirianni can be heard yelling this as he returns to the dugout:

"Hey! I don't hear (expletive) anymore, Chiefs fans! See ya!"

Once Chiefs fans saw the clip online, they wasted no time attacking Sirianni.

Exacting revenge on one's Super Bowl opponent during the regular season is no big feat, but Nick Sirianni is taking the win regardless, as it puts the Philadelphia Eagles on top of the league at 9-1, with the sole defeat coming against the New York Jets.

The game's turning point arguably came when Jalen Hurts found DeVonta Smith for a 41-yard catch, putting the visitors in the opposing red zone. One play later, the quarterback gave them the lead via a "tush push".

In the post-game presser, Sirianni was open about his winning strategy, saying (via New York Post):

"Whoever was going to win that game was going to do it gritty, grimy, nasty, all those adjectives. It was going to be that way, and the guys just stayed together and kept fighting, and kept grinding it out, and we were able to come out on top."

Expounding further, Nick Sirianni summed the reason for their victory into one word:

"Resiliency. I mean it wasn't pretty, there were a lot of ugly moments in it, but they just kept fighting and kept staying together, and it was a good team win, where everyone just stayed together. The defense kept making plays, waiting for the offense to make a play, and we did in some critical times."
"I don't think we played to our standard, but I think the thing that you can't test or quantify is the resilience that a team has, and the ability to persevere and see through things and overcome things, and this team has that."

The Eagles next face the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 26.
