After not getting selected in the 2024 NFL Draft, Frank Gore Jr. signed a three-year, $2.85 million deal with the Buffalo Bills. The 22-year-old running back is competing for a roster spot and scored a touchdown for the Bills.

Gore Jr. scored a touchdown against the Carolina Panthers in the final preseason game for the Bills. At the time of writing, he had rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on just 16 carries. Fans went wild on social media after seeing legendary running back Frank Gore's son score a touchdown in the NFL.

Frank Gore Jr. has played in all three preseason games for the Bills. Here's how he performed in each of them:

  1. vs Bears: 22 rushing yards on seven carries and three receptions for 16 yards.
  2. vs Steelers: 41 rushing yards on eight carries.
  3. vs Panthers: 97 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.

With James Cook, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson likely to be a part of the 53-man roster, Gore Jis competing for the final running back spot on the roster. Based on his preseason, it wouldn't surprise many if he makes the final roster as other teams will be interested to get him if he gets cut before the deadline.

Frank Gore celebrated his son's first touchdown in the NFL by posting on X. He said:

"That's my boy!!!"

Gore Jr. spent four years at Southern Mississippi before declaring for the draft, playing 47 games and rushing for 4,022 yards and 26 touchdowns on 759 carries, averaging 5.3 yards per carry.

In his final year at Southern Mississippi, Gore Jr. rushed for 1,131 yards and 10 touchdowns on 231 carries. He also had 27 receptions for 221 yards and three receiving touchdowns.

He will hope that his touchdown against the Panthers guarantees him to play in the regular season this year. As of now, it's unclear whether that will be for the Bills or another team.
