Najee Harris fantasy outlook for Week 17: Should you start or drop the Steelers RB?

Najee Harris still needs to meet his first-round status this campaign, but in the latter part of the season, he's been reliable at running back. Despite this, he faces a challenging opponent in the Baltimore Ravens in Week 17, which can prompt fantasy football owners to look for alternatives.

In light of the Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive line's current troubles, there are better moves than relying on Harris' output. Going into Week 17, he appears to be a touchdown-dependent candidate, so it could be a good move to look elsewhere for a starting-caliber running back to take his spot.

Harris has demonstrated a respectable ceiling in the last few games, but the pitiful Pittsburgh Steelers system still constrains his potential.

The Baltimore Ravens, who will be his opponent in Week 17, have given up the sixth-fewest points per game to running backs this campaign, once allowing just 53.1 yards per game on the ground during a six-game period between Weeks 8 and 14.

The player has upside potential but a modest floor in this game.

Najee Harris' stats and fantasy prediction

Najee Harris has improved recently, but he has also played in suitable matches. He will be playing divisional foe Ravens this weekend, who have given up the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this year (20.0). Just 18.4 were given away over the past month.

Najee Harris set a personal season-best mark with his nine targets in the victory over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16. He has caught 38 passes this season and scored eight TDs in all.

In a 13-10 victory over the Raiders, the second-year running back also snagged six of his nine receptions for 42 yards and carried the ball on 16 occasions for a total of 53 yards.

Harris was responsible for 16 of Pittsburgh's offensive players' 24 attempts at running in the game. However, he was restricted to fewer than 50 yards of rushing for the third time in the past five matches and was completely stifled as a rusher.

He has had five scores in his last seven games and at least 90 total yards in four of those contests.

For Week 17, Tony Pollard, Rhamondre Stevenson, David Montgomery, and Nick Chubb are all superior possibilities at running back.
